Our 1st day at Bulawayo Baptist Chruch

Hi everyone!

We left home on Wednesday, May 4th and arrived in Zimbabwe on Friday, May 6th to a very warm welcome.  When we got to the airport there was a greeting committee waiting for us.  Georgie even brought me a bouquet of flowers!  How sweet was that.  :-)

Sunday morning arrived quite quickly and we were still struggling with our jet lag.  Jeff taught 2 services and he told me before the 1st service that his head was excited to be teaching but his body just wanted to go to sleep.  As usual, God is so faithful and he taught 2 great messages.

After the 2nd service they had organized a tea and a greeting time which we got introduced to the entire congregation, my brain was overflowing with everyone's names many of which were very unusual.  Names like Ayala, Mkokhele, Thembie, Ncube and Nuxamalo.  I have to admit that most of them went in one ear and right out the other.  :-(  I think I may make it mandatory that everyone wear name tags with phonetic spelling on them for a month or so. :-)

We were given handmade cards and gifts and I was quite touched by their kindness, especially as it was Mother's Day and I was missing my family.
